About MoKee OpenSource:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP and CyanogeMod project. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
The Mfunz Forums launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better.
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development. Newcomers are always welcomed!
Official website: http://www.mfunz.com

Types of Releases:
MoKee OpenSource has 4 kinds of releases: official release, beta, nightlies, and unofficial builds.

Official release: This version is tested throughly by developers and users, so it is the most stable build
Beta: When a device is newly added, there will be beta versions for testing, but there might be unknown bugs and problems
Nightlies: Nightlies are compiled automatically by servers, so it will have the latest features but beware of uncompleted works
Unofficial builds: These builds are compiled from source or ported by non MoKee developers

Official Releases:
MoKee Open Source supports many devices, but the developers may not have all devices in hand, so if there are device maintainers that can help out, the official releases will be decided by them, MoKee Open Source will only maintain the nightlies to ensure the usability of the ROM. However, for devices with no device maintainers, MoKee Open Source will decide when to release official builds or nightlies. Therefore, if you have a device maintainer, please get the official releases from your respective device maintainer's thread or nightlies from MoKee Open Source.

INSTALLATION:

When new base with new kernel is best done with all wipes clean:
From any CyanogenMod basis.
Wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partition and advanced wipe dalvik cache mount and storage / format system.
ROM and then flash the GAPPS pack. Restart.

From other basis: JVU + Root (odin), corresponding Wipes, flash the ROM + GAPP

I'll try to keep this more up to date as possible, because I WORK a split shift and free time is not all I wanted. I hope your understanding and see what comes of this new child just given birth.

To thank the entire team of developers MokeeOs and that support for creating this rom.

[JB 4.3][ROM]Infamous AOKP 1.0

$

As many users requested an update of Infamous AOKP for JB4.3, I decided to give it a try!

I have been sharing my CM7/CM9/CM10/CM10.1 builds for some time in several thread, which culminated in the MackayROM & Infamous AOKP. I continue now with JB4.3 from where I was for JB4.2. Infamous AOKP is based on AOKP sources, with several performance enhancements.

About AOKP: AOKP is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.3 (JellyBean), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

If you run into errors, I may not be able to solve it!

If you know a solution to a problem, either upload it yourself to Gerrit Code Review or contact me through pm.

The ROM is based on AOKP sources with the following changes:
-Mackay Kernel:
-Set of cherries picked from gerrit (differing by the day)
-Some additional patches I did myself to the source code

Feature request are OK, but remember:
1. I try to stay close to stock
2. I will not include additional apps, unless they can be build from source
3. The time I spend on features depends on how much I like them myself

Changelog of 1.0 - 25-Sep-2013
-First ALPHA build
-I booted it to be sure it works, but it has not been extensively tested

Because vold.fstab is no longer used and has been integrated in fstab.aries (which can only be changed before compiling the kernel, as it ends up in the ramdisk), I made a special kernel version with switched SD cards:

I compiled my first ROM from source and included a couple of my mods from the other threads, as well as the well known RichSiya theme made @erpurohit and the also very popular [MOD] S4 Themed Notification Drawer v3.0 with the beautiful tiles and toggles made by @jokubas00.
And additional along with the rom comes a transparent view in settings, a special trebuchet launcher made by @sbradymobile and CyanogenMod.

So what makes this rom so special:
- Center clock which can be moved to the right and individual colored (via settings)
- Short date selectable to the center clock
- 100% transparent statusbar
- 100% transparent settings made by @peetu20: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=192
- special Trebuchet Launcher with selectable background in drawer (colorpicker) and special settings menu (see screenshots)
- Modded MMs with 6 rows of written text visible in SMS (think I "learned/covered" it from Difusas Thread)

Beside of above features, all other is compiled from and with CyanogenMod source codes. Also for this first version, the kernel.

What will perhaps come in near future?
- Transparent + colored Statusbar with color picker (WIP)
- Selectable Am/PM clock style via settings (WIP) Released see changelog
- Kernel change to DerTeufels plus DevilTool
- Add ones with different transparency for statusbar and settings background Released in 2nd post
- removing some not so necessary apps, to make ROM "slimmer"
- including brightness slider above or below tiles

So all thanks and credits go to:
@CyanogenMod for the source code and trebuchet
@sbradymobile for the changes in Trebuchet and his help
@DerTeufel1980 whose source codes for the clock mod I covered and ported to the ROM
@Margaritov for the color picker source codes
@erpurohit for the S3 Theme
@jokubas00 for the S4 toggles and tiles
@peetu20 for the transparent background in settings
PS: if I forgot someone, please advice me and I will add him at once!
I "only" compiled this ROM from mentioned sources and did some changes. Almost all work was done from the devs, not from me!

Installation:
If you are coming from a CM based 4.3 rom, you can flash it on top without wipes.
If you are coming from a for example AOSP or AOKP a full wipe/factory reset is recommended.
Flash Rom and flash latest gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip and enjoy :)!
And if you have any issues, please also do a full wipe and factory reset.

When was our I9000 th fastest (which ROM)?

I am enjoying different mods and new devlopments, but using yesterday evening S4 mini, I asked myself this question:
The Moment I hit an Icon (.z.B.) Whatsapp, ´the window Comes up and I have tried it on my I9000 and it takes ca. 5-10 sec.)

Obiously, newer Versions have aditional functons, but:

Which Firmware or Developer Version since I9000 came to market was the fastest, in your opinion, "FOR SIMPLE USE: TEXTING; WHATSAPP; MAPS, LIVESCORES; ETC.???

Thanks for all your comments.

Just as a very early ALPHA build, I have build OMNI ROM for i9000.

I have no idea yet about what works or not, I will leave that up to you to report.

ONLY flash if you know what you are doing.

Procedure:
-First separately flash 4.4 kernel (see download link below)
-Reboot recovery
-Format system/data/cache/android_secure from TWRP
-Flash ROM (see download link below)
-Reboot

I did not find a good gapps package yet, so that part is also untested.

Known Issues
Please do not report bugs if it is already listen in the list of known issues
  • Display issues in Browser & other embedded webviews (Google Chrome works fine)
  • No access to TV-Out menu
  • Layout issues in lockscreen
  • Can only mount 1 sdcard on PC
  • Menu soft-buttons appearing where they shouldn't
  • Some CyanogenMod features a missing - please do not file bug reports for those.
  • Color calibration & vibration intensity does not get saved
  • Privacy guard icon not disappearing when exited app
  • Broken layout of quick message popup (SMS)
  • Users of CM9/CM10/CM10.1 may have to upgrade to CM10.2 first if they face set_metadata_recursive error during install

Reporting Bugs

You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.

REPORT BUGS IN THIS THREAD ONLY
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow. Note: If you can provide the latest night/build that the bug didn't exist, it would greatly help in tracking down what caused it.

FAQ
Why is there no transparent status bar/lockscreen widget/"OK Google"?
Those features have been disabled by Google for low RAM device in order to save RAM. You can try enabling it by removing "ro.config.low_ram=true" from /system/build.prop, however, it is not an officially supported setup.

What about Captivate/I9000B?
Those will be released by CM's build servers when this ROM reaches nightly status.

Does this ROM support FM radio?
I've checked and the new FM API in CM is not really compatible with our device without heavy modification. Applications using the new API expect to be able to read the FM input as it if were another stream, but FM on our device only does pass-through from FM receiver to speaker/headset, which causes certain functionalities to not work such as volume control. Maybe one can modify the audio routing table in the kernel to have it behave like the API expected, but I'm not really interested in investing time to do that.

TL;DR: No built-in FM radio except if someone else does it and submits a patch.

Changelog

  • Enabled low RAM mode.
  • Fixed gapps backup/restore (needs to reflash gapps if upgrading from 20131114)

I have been sharing my CM7/CM9/CM10/CM10.1/CM10.2-based builds for some time in several thread, which culminated in the MackayROM. I continue now with KK4.4 from where I was for JB4.3. MackayROM is based on CyanogenMod sources, with several performance enhancements.

About Cyanogen: CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

The ROM is based on Cyanogen sources with the following changes:
-Mackay Kernel:
-Set of cherries picked from gerrit (differing by the day)
-Some additional patches I did myself to the source code

Feature request are OK, but remember:
1. I try to stay close to stock
2. I will not include additional apps, unless they can be build from source
3. The time I spend on features depends on how much I like them myself

Why this GB Kernel for our old I9000 device ?

Answer: I still use this old device and i developed a new DMORE 2.3.6 ROM (wait until next Monday :eek:);
So I take some time for build this kernel and now i finally condivided with you; After a year with Cyanogen Jellybean, I turned back with GB: I re-love the amoled bright screen, the stock Samnsung Camera performances, but above all , the low battery drain !!!

Of course, Performances are not equal to a Galaxy S2 or a younger devices but for all people that do not have the possibility to change phone, this my work could help them !!

I merged Stratosk, Hardcore, Mialwe git's repositories and the last official Samsung GB Kernel release (GB_Update3) for all roms based on stock JW5/6/7/8/9/B firmware;

I continued thier hard work with my little knowledge and skill and now i condivided it with you.

NOTE: This Dmore Galaxy S-i9000 kernel can used as base with your ROMs if you like.
I personally tested it with different devices using also other kernels;

OVERVIEW – DMORE.Kernel#rev03 GingerBread GT-I9000 Galaxy S Device
- Based on latest GB Samsung base kernel (GT-I9000_Opensource_GB_Update3)

DEFAULTS
CPU 1000Ghz by default, SmartassV2, SIO 512Kb .
For change IO Scheduler, Cpu Gevernor and for manage OC/UV use System Tuner app from PlayStore

INSTALL
(Dmore-Kernel-RevXX-CWM.zip for installation with ClockWorkMode or DMore-Kernel-RevXX.zip Odin/Heimdall)
Flash from recovery using CWM files or flash extracted zImage using*Heimdall*or flash downloaded TAR archive with Odin*
For change Cpu Freqency clock simply install DMore-Kernel-CPUXXXX.zip (XXXX = 1000,1128,1200,1300)
Personally i use 1200MHZ like Freq CPU

Tips & Tricks:
If you want change the Cpu Frequency manually, you can also using Adb shell commands instead DMore-Kernel-CPUXXXX.zip CWM file.

Simply type this commands on a DOS/Linux terminal shell

adb shell
su
mount –o remount, rw /system
echo 0 > /system/dmore-cpufreq.conf #cpu= 1000Mhz
reboot

(for clocks CPU 1128,1200,1300 use echo 1, echo 2, echo 3
echo 1 > /system/dmore-cpufreq.conf #cpu= 1128Mhz
echo 2 > /system/dmore-cpufreq.conf #cpu= 1200Mhz
echo 3 > /system/dmore-cpufreq.conf #cpu= 1300Mhz )

Also I developed a new KErnel already included on this update (Thread here: link)

NOTE: If you search a friendly beatiuful simple ROM , for our wifes :angel: , probably this DMORE3.6 update is for you

ROM FEATURES
The principal feature of my new work are principally as same of previous DMORE 3.5 ROM (link)

- ICS STYLE Progress bar and Sliders
- ASAP Gingerbread keyboard skinned for ICS (Thanks Ghost - link)
- Porting some Ring tones and notifications tones from Cyanogen & Samsung S3 firmwares

FIXS from previous DMORE 3.5 ROM

Just like for CM9&CM10&CM10.1&CM10.2, I started making a CM11.0/KK4.4 kernel. The philosophy is the same: stock plus quite a few extras

This kernel is based on my CM10.2 Mackay kernel, updated using upstream patches from CM11.0

Thanks to all SGS-CM-kernel developers (pawitp, stratosk, DerTeufel, Glitch, mialwe, krarvind), I learned a lot from all of you!

This is a freshly started project. Ideas for improvements/additions are welcome but:
1. I try to stay close to stock
2. The time I spend on features depends on how much I like them myself

Credits:
-teamhacksung/pawitp for making CyanogenMod work on our ancient phone
-stratosk/DerTeufel/Mialwe for the inspiration I got from their kernels
-rootax for providing a high-speed server for high quality downloads

CWM version is specific CWM subfolder!

For those who want to theme it even further, Bejda made a Mackay splash screen!

Main Features
1. Fast, stable and intended for gamers
2. Built from CM11 source with O3 optimizations, heavily debloated , no 3rd party apps are installed.
3. CM Kernel included (for now, since CyanCore is not yet ready)
4. Additional tweaks ( vary from version to version )
5. For those people who love ROMs with lots of themes , customizations , apps etc , please leave now , you will be disappointed , this ROM is not for you.

I understand that my ROM will sound simple and backward to many, but it is a stable and fast base for gaming, probably the fastest without OC, and with OC, it flies.......

Due to the cleanness of this ROM, it will provide exceptional battery backup too.

So do you users want a clean gaming oriented ROM or do you want your gaming to be riddled with problems and lags forever?

Feature Requests accepted, but only stuff which enhances the speed and stability, or betters gaming speed without lessening stability will be added.

Known Bugs
Some minor CM bugs

Maybe this not a daily driver kernel, just feel free to try once and go back to other kernel :highfive:

Different from stock:
- Compiled with linaro-toolchain-binaries 4.8 (32bit)
