First keep in mind this is an alpha version, its unstable and some things don't work so please be patient. its far from being a daily driver at this point, also, please follow every step and triple check that you do or you may have issues.

Steps to install:
1. extract the gapps somehwhere, copy the extracted gapps zip + the txt file to the device
2. format data partition to f2fs in TWRP the perform a Full wipe using TWRP (and I mean full wipe! system, data, cache etc)
3. Install ROM
4. Install attached gapps (other gapps may cause heavy slowdowns and/or failure due to lack of space, this gapps removes most of the bloat including browser, camera, wallpapers and more and leaves core apps alone), this WILL take a while, permissions needs to be fixed so for now its slow, if you can't wait you can force reboot when it tries to set permissions, but i'd wait to avoid issues
5. reboot and wait, it takes a long time to boot and once it does its very slow the first time so be patient
6. recommended: set overclock to 1400 mhz and minimum to 200 to avoid some of the lag, also reboot after setup is complete to clear some memory that wizard uses and caches

• SELINUX (disabled for now until I add permissions but its low on my priority right now)
• tons of smaller things, feel free to comment about device issues so I can add it (omni stuff don't count, so please don't add those, instead open a bug with them)

Kernel:
Commited all the required commits for 6.0 + Coldwindofnowhere's overclocking commits since the device would run very slow with out them (thanks Coldwindofnowhere), built using UberTC gcc 5.2.

I have the idea to use my good old Galaxy S as MP3 Player only. Is there some kind of minimalistic custom ROM that boots as quick as possible? no need for any Mobile connections and stuff, just need a MP3 Player.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Please read: this rom is based on cm-13.0 stable source, NOT nightly since we have enough device bugs to deal with first, so don't expect nightlies, I will only upload roms when there are major fixes or major kernel/device updates, please don't message me asking when the next build is...

For youtube, I recommand using this apk: link
Its a bit old but works very well on our device and plays 720p videos with no issues. the new player from the app store is very slow and playback is very choppy, also no 720p playback.

Known Bugs:

• BT has an error when turning it off and sometimes starts up again after a few seconds
• Data doesn't connect every few boots for some reason, I fixed some code but it still seems to happen, although less frequently then before. if it happens, simply turn on airplane mode and then disable it again, data will work

• selinux is permissive, not sure if its worth investing time in getting it to enforced

Steps to install:
1. Best to do a full wipe of data, cache and system if you want to guarantee no weird issues
2. Install ROM zip, you will get a warning about partition size change of system if its the first time you flash, just flash it a second time to confirm the change, this will erase your data partition!
3. Install gapps from link
4. Reboot
For youtube, I recommand using this apk: link
Its a bit old but works very well on our device and plays 720p videos with no issues. the new player from the app store is very slow and playback is very choppy, also no 720p playback.

Known Bugs:

• Data doesn't connect every few boots for some reason, I fixed some code but it still seems to happen, although less frequently then before. if it happens, simply turn on airplane mode and then disable it again, data will work

Not Working:

• selinux is permissive, not sure if its worth investing time in getting it to enforced

Kernel:
Commited all the required commits for 6.0 + Coldwindofnowhere's overclocking commits since the device would run very slow with out them (thanks Coldwindofnowhere)

About Resurrection Remix ROM ®


Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on AOKP, CM, PA, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device

Many things that in previous versions were tweaked with mods, are now included by default in the ROM so, please enjoy!

-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS-

1.- Factory reset
2.- Format your /data partition to f2fs
3.- flash the ROM via TWRP, all the /data partition will be wiped !
4.- Install gapps ( optional ), you can use pico open Gapps or A-Gapps, but no Gapps at all is recommended
5.- Reboot
Please note, that first boot after fresh installation lasts a couple of minutes.
